Lauds, otherwise known as Morning Prayer, is traditionally prayed at dawn (around 3:00 a.m. in ancient monastic schedules) or early morning in modern practice).
The name comes from the Latin word laus, meaning “praise” (referencing the final Laudate Psalms 148–150).
Its focus is to celebrate daybreak, God’s creation, and the resurrection of Christ, consecrating the start of the day.
Takes place in St Stephen’s Church at 9am, Monday – Friday
A simple, peaceful way to begin your day.
