We welcomed Bishop Philip, the Bishop of Winchester, and Bishop Rhiannon, Bishop of Southampton & Bournemouth, to St Peter’s, where Nicholas Jepson-Biddle went out with them into the town to offer passers by a blessing or a prayer if they wished to receive one.
A busy afternoon, with the Bishops and Nick dodging showers on a very warm day, and back to the church for coffee and cakes in the grounds before licensing Revd Ed Haycock and Revd Lorraine Kingsley as assistant curates into the parish of Throop and St Andrew’s, Boscombe before heading back out onto the streets to continue their mission.
