Alana Brook is currently Organ Scholar at Milton Abbey, and next year will be taking up the post of Organ Scholar at Ripon Cathedral. She gained her ARCO in January 2017. Growing up in Australia, Alana began her organ studies in 2011 as Organ Scholar at St Peter’s Cathedral, Adelaide. Through this role she performed many recitals and services at the Cathedral, and had the opportunity to conduct the choir on a number of occasions. The Choir of St Peter’s Cathedral has toured to the UK on a number of occasions, allowing Alana the chance to play the organ in services in York Minster, Lincoln Cathedral, Gloucester Cathedral and Durham Cathedral. In February 2016 the Milton Abbey Choir went on tour to Paris, and Alana accompanied services and concerts in Notre Dame, L’Oratoire du Louvre and Notre Dame Des Blancs Manteaux. She has performed recitals at Milton Abbey, St Peter’s Church Bournemouth, and at churches in Adelaide. Alana is also a music teacher at Milton Abbey School, and in her free time enjoys singing with the Bournemouth Sinfonietta Choir.
