The Civic and Parish Church of Bournemouth

Concert: Orlando Singers – Songs of Farewell

In the centenary year of the death of Hubert Parry, and in the church in which he was baptised, The Orlando Singers present his choral song-cycle, Songs of Farewell, in a programme of works charting journeys from this world to the next.
The varied programme also includes works by contemporary composers alongside music from the 17th century onwards, ending with musical visions of heaven by two composers from the golden era of church music in the first half of the 20th century.
